About the LAB

AgTech for the Future seeks to fill the holes in the sector’s ecosystem, starting in Mexico and continuing throughout the region. With a focus on education, emerging technologies adoption, articulation of the ecosystem, and public policy recommendations, C Minds will have a deep impact in the agricultural sector in LAC.

Agriculture in Mexico has been an important sector of the country’s economy historically and politically. Mexico is one of the cradles of agriculture in Latin America and the Caribbean which brings clear efforts to make the sector in the country more sustainable starting with the government’s interest, and the sum of organizations, academia, and small to large producers to articulate and start showcasing the use cases the country has.

How can Jalisco harness the power of AgriTech to boost its leadership?

We are leading a capabilities-building program for AgriTech startups in Jalisco in order to provide them with the support they need, from tech knowledge to business growth, to thrive. Not only will this strengthen Jalisco's agricultural leadership in the country and region, this is also a first experiment to understand how new technologies could help address the global food challenge.
